Looming beneath a roiling blood-red sky is a crumbling Gothic church, its once-grand spire now twisted and crowned with an upside-down iron cross. The clouds churn ominously above, swirling like a storm is about to crack open reality itself. Atop the church roof stands a pale, woman-shaped apparition draped in a flowing white gown that never moves with the wind. Her face is featureless, glowing faintly, and she watches silently over the desolate graveyard below. The number 666 is smeared across the ancient stone walls of the church in what appears to be dried blood, cracked and dripping. Gnarled trees surround the grounds, their limbs clawing at the sky like skeletal hands, some of their bark faces twisted into expressions of silent screams. The graveyard is littered with broken headstones and partially unearthed coffins, as if something clawed its way out. A rusted iron gate creaks endlessly on its hinges, swinging open and shut without wind. Faint whispers echo from the shadows, and strange symbols are burned into the dead grass. Somewhere in the distance, a bell tolls — though the church has no bell.
